职位描述： Department Description:Advanced Processing & ApplicationTasks DescriptionPosition: Major Tasks- Develop new and advanced application to ensure polycarbonatebusiness’s sustainable growth in long term.- To scout and work on advanced application and development projectsmainly in EVBP and EVSE segment, technology and application feasibilitystudy for customers in APAC. Work closely with global team forexperience sharing and knowledge transferring between EM/LA, NAFTA andAPAC.- Investigation and evaluation of technological trends and upcoming newtechnologies and develop solutions for our customers by leadingprojects and realization of new business through innovativeprocessing/application development by transferring of marketrequirement to innovation and technology community.- Closely monitor and evaluate competitor moves in technological areas,business development areas, and develop unique technical sellingpropositions.- Lead the detailed design and engineering project activities with thesupport of Marketing & Sales.- Represent Covestro as “engineering expert” with technical expertsfrom our customers, to develop suitable solutions to customerapplication design issues; recognizing/implementing patentableinnovations for Covestro.- Act as focal point for complex engineering and other technical issuesrelated to key industry segments involving major customers.- Act as technical spokesperson for PCS/Covestro in specific technicaltopics, requiring high level understanding of “state-of-the-art”technology, in order to positively position Covestro products/servicesin the marketplace.- Core member of global advanced application core technology team (CTT).Requirements DescriptionPosition: Skills,...- Master degree with more than 5 years of relevant technicalexperience, or Bachelor degree with more than 8 years of relevanttechnical experience in the plastic industry or plastic engineer inautomotive or electrical/electronics industry.- Technical knowledge of engineering plastics and other materials,processing, joining methods, part design and mold design in order toadvise internal and external customers in support of Covestro salesand/or technical advancement.- Have a demonstrated successful track record of applicationengineering plastics products.- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems andto arrive at solutions that support the technical and business goals.- Good project management skills.- Possess communication and leadership skills to participate in teams,lead teams, write reports, and make effective presentations (e.g.customers and technical conferences).- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
