Job PurposeBD is seeking a talented, energetic health economics and outcome research manager, who will work as a strategic partner to BD business franchises in championing product-specific value evidence strategy and tailored customer0centric value evidence solutions support product access at national/provincial/hospital levels. Working cooperatively with the team and other cross function teams, to facilitate the understanding and prioritization of product access needs from a value evidence perspective, to develop appropriate methods to address such needs. To achieve these critical goals, the candidate will develop a deep understanding of company product portfolios and marketing strategies, access issues, policy trends, and appropriate use of value evidence for supporting business needs. This corporate staff member will assist or work independently in HEOR study assessment, design, project management, demonstration tools making, KOL maintenance, and communication etc. In the work, this member would work closely with colleagues in Medical Affairs, Market Access, Public Policy, BD’s Business Units, R&D, and global HEOR team as well. Team work spirit, good communication, interpersonal skill and business sense, together with solid HEOR capacity, are keys to this position. The candidate needs to be compliant with applicable policies, procedures and other regulations.Major Accountabilities1. Perform in-house literature review, basic HE modeling and HEOR study design and analysis; and manage outsourced HEOR studies.2. Proactively identify value evidence needs for priority products, and design value evidence generation strategies and champion real world evidence initiatives to substantiate product value propositions needed for favorable product access and brand promotions. Develop communication & training plans for product value evidence including publications and presentation for internal and external stakeholders. 3. Build professional relationships and work closely with KOL in value based healthcare decision making to maintain strong knowledge and insights of critical policy events in healthcare, interpret for alternative business impacts to inform strategic decision making with regard to unmet needs in product value evidence in order to influence and enhance product position in relevant decision making settings for access to BD products4. Work in partnership with functional departments, including R&D, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to assure that the appropriate HE value proposition is incorporated throughout the product development process. 5. Be compliant with applicable policies, procedures and other regulations6. Be able to travel at about 30%-50% 7. Broader knowledge in healthcare systemEducation: A postgraduate degree in the area of Health Economic, Health Policy, Health Management, or equivalent level of demonstrated experience. Alternatively, MBA(business/economics) degree plus related professional field required Working experience: A minimum of 2-year expertise and hands-on experience on health economics and outcome research (HEOR), pharmacoeconomics (PE), or health technology assessment (HTA), in academic or business spheres. 5-year work experiences at least, with 2-year in the industry as the preference.
