Established in 1872, the Group has its origins in Europe. During our continuous expansion from automotive to energy and environmental-protection technology, from household appliance to medical devices, and from chemical testing to railway services. We have been authorized by numerous countries to test an extensive variety of products for conformity with regional requirements. To most effectively offer services to overseas customers, TüV Rheinland Group provides professional services by more than 13,000 employees in more than 60 countries at 490 locations. TüV Rheinland Group China established its first branch office in Hong Kong in 1988 to provide local services. During the years of economic development and booming exports since that time, the company has grown from one German engineer to a team of over 1000 people.
