职位描述： About the departmentNovo Nordisk is a focused healthcare company and a world leader in diabetes care. Novo Nordisk China R&D (NNRCC) is an integrated part of Novo Nordisk R&D organization. Novo Nordisk conducts research on diabetes and metabolic diseases in China and is expanding its network to scientific communities. The Department of Discovery Screening of NNRCC is responsible for supporting early discovery projects in diabetes and obesity. Currently, the department has 6 scientists, 8 research assistants, and a department manager. We are a highly motivated and productive team and have a strong focus on continuously simplifying processes in our daily work. We are seeking for an experienced scientist who has had extensive experiences in high throughput phenotypic screening (HTS) assays and demonstrated accomplishments in target discovery. The candidate should have the ability to design, optimize, and validate biochemical and biological assays amendable to HTS and to analyse data with statistical calculations and extract data from visualization tools. Deep understanding and hands on experience of state of the art HTS technologies are required.The position Independently develop, optimize and validate biochemical and biological assays for metabolic diseases (eg. type 2 diabetes, obesity, NASH, and cardiovascular diseases) amendable to high throughput screening (HTS)Oversee, maintain, and continuously improve the infrastructure and workflow of automation and HTS platformsPlan and establish work schedule based on screening campaign plans. Ensure timelines and quality meet requirementsReport results to stakeholders effectively in every form of communicationMonitor literature for relevant technologies for target discovery and biology of metabolic diseases and distil the information to contribute to innovationBe a key member in the development of CRISPR-CAS9 platform for target discovery within organizationQualificationsMinimum qualifications: Ph.D. in biology, cell biology, molecular biology or related disciplines; oversea education or work is a plusExtensive experience with expert knowledge of HTS and statistical data analysisExperience in experimentation with muscle cells, adipocytes, or hepatocytes, including primary cells and cell linesGeneral and working knowledge of glucose and lipid metabolism and related signaling pathways Preferred qualifications: Experience from pharmaceutical industryExperience with CRISPR/Cas9 or RNAi screensExperience with Spotfire Additional requirements: Service mind-set with highly collaborative and interpersonal skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to network, expand influence, and achieve success in a globalized research settingDemonstrated record of practical, translational thinking and accomplishmentsDisplay solid organization and time management skillsProven problem-solving skills and track record of driving change Working at Novo NordiskYou need to have good communication and collaboration skills as you will play a key role in representing your expertise area in global project teams and towards colleagues at the other research sites.
