working towards shared goals•Ability to attract, retain and develop talents•Strong influential, communication and negotiation skillsPrimary Purpose of Job•Accountable for team development and delivery of strategically aligned Medical Plans for assigned products (on-market & in portfolio) within assigned disease areas (DAs)•Accountable for development and overall delivery of medical strategies & execution plans•Oversight of TAE management strategy and engagement plans within DA, and MSL execution to deliver DA strategy•Responsible for collaboration across subordinate teams (MMs and MSLs) within assigned DA(s) to ensure the DA-based strategy is fully aligned and delivered•Represents Oncology in all Cross-functional discussions for the assigned products or DA(s), ensuring effective negotiation and influence of key internal & external stakeholders.•Key point of accountability for all inquiries and communications regarding the medical (and where appropriate local development) aspects of the DA•Responsible for appropriate resource planning in the teams to guarantee activities take place as planned, and within budget•Responsible for people management and development, as well as all other line manager responsibilities•Ensures strict adherence to the company’s corporate policies, SOP and local regulations for all initiatives for assigned DA(s)Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities1 Accountable for team development and delivery of strategically aligned Medical Plans (on-market & in portfolio) within assigned disease areas (DAs)•Lead Medical Managers and MSL Managers working on the same product or DA to develop and execute annual medical plan of DA•Ensure medical plan is to aligned with product business plan and DA strategy•Lead Medical Managers to periodical update medical plan to reflect the change of the competitive landscape and critical business strategy change if appropriate•On time, quality and within budget delivery of the medical plan, either directly or through team member(s)2 Oversight of TAE management strategy, and engagement plan within DA and MSL execution to deliver DA strategy•Lead MSL managers and Medical Managers to develop TAE management strategy and engagement plan and ensure the alignment with DA strategies•Lead MSL managers to periodically update TAE management strategy and engagement plans•Ensure medical expertise provided to TAEs, and TAEs’ insights to internal medical and product teams timely and accurately, to support strategy planning3 Supervise team to actively build up internal cross-functional strategic partnership for assigned DA(s), also including regional and/or global networking•Act as point of contact from Oncology team for any strategic discussion on the assigned DA(s)•Upgrade the influence level of Oncology team to the global IMT (International Medical Team)4 Accountable for the scientific & strategic leadership for all other key medical activities for the assigned DA(s), including medical information service, epidemiology/outcome research, medical education, medical publications, pharmacovigilance, and biomarker science, etc. to ensure alignment of the overall medical strategy and optimal execution of the medical plan•As the owner of the medical plan, to proactively engage various function within and/or outside Medical Division for the development and execution of the medical plan5 Accountable for full execution of MSL action plan•Lead MSL managers to ensure the execution of MSL action plans to fulfill the scientific communication objectives6 Accountable for the medical and scientific support provided to the commercial activities for the product(s) within assigned DA(s), including medical input in the marketing strategy, external professional interaction, sales training, promotional material generation7 Develop and maintain a network of opinion leaders and experts in the assigned disease areas in order to maintain and reinforce the scientific leadership of the Company8 Accountable for close collaboration with regulatory and development teams to provide unmet medical needs assessment and product value proposition to ensure an optimal local registration strategy for the new product and/or new indication(s)9 Oversight of TAE management in the field by building up the capability and capacity of DA team to ensure high quality scientific engagement10 Responsible for the management of the medical education activities allocated to the assigned DA(s)11 Motivate all team member(s) to work towards the aligned goal, provide coaching and support to the team member(s), responsible for team member recruitment and career development•Inspire and motivate a positive spirit of teamwork by active, open and constructive communications•Coach and support individual subordinate team members for desired performance and career development.•Oversee the development and implementation of training plans for assigned DA team•Manage the DA team budget, including review and approval of expense reports.12 Strict adherence to the company’s corporate policies, SOP and local regulations for all initiatives for assigned DA(s)•Ensure appropriate scientific and medical compliance, governance and risk management with the framework of optimized patient centric risk/benefit in the responsible therapeutic areas•Ensure all
