职位描述: About the department Novo Nordisk is a focused healthcare company and a world leader in diabetes care. Novo Nordisk R&D Centre China (NNRCC) is an integrated part of Novo Nordisk R&D organization. NNRCC currently has a new position open for a highly qualified and motivated scientist with expertise in metabolic disorder areas (such as diabetes and obesity) who plans to advance a career in China. The department consists of Rodent Pharmacology, Dog Pharmacology and Histopathology in Discovery Biology China (DBC) at NNRCC. The Rodent Pharmacology team is responsible for supporting diabetes and obesity research projects and new target discovery/validation. We are a highly motivated and productive department with high standards for our deliveries into the projects. The position Take responsibility in various project supports and discovery/validation of new therapeutic targets in areas of diabetes and obesity, by leading in vivo pharmacology studies at NNRCC/DBC. You will plan and conduct in vivo studies, set-up, develop and evaluate models based on project needs. Furthermore, you will be expected to leverage the innovation culture, mentor colleagues, and promote the collaboration culture both internally and globally. You will be involved in cross-functional project teams with colleagues from many different scientific backgrounds both in China and in Denmark. You will be a key person in research projects and responsible for defining the direction of the in vivo pharmacology and/or ex vivo biology in the project. You will be the department representative in research projects where you are expected to seek influence based on the data you generate and by keeping up to date with the scientific literature. You will be referring directly to the department head and your main internal contacts in your daily work will be scientist colleagues, research associates, project members, and managers both in Beijing and in Denmark. Furthermore, developing and maintaining a strong external network is also going to be an important part of your work. You will be part of a team in a highly dynamic and challenging environment within the Novo Nordisk Diabetes Research Unit. Qualifications Ph.D. in Pharmacology or a scientific discipline 5-8 years research experience as Scientist or PI in research and/or development environment. Extensive experience within pharmaceutical R&D is a plus. Demonstrated success in technical proficiency in the research field, expertise in in vivo pharmacology. Strong background, knowledge and skillsets in metabolic disease research; experienced in diabetes and obesity animal models. Cardiovascular research experience is a plus. Excellent track records of innovation, independence and scientific accomplishments of high value. Excellent communication skills. You need to have good communication and collaboration skills as you will play a key role in representing your expertise area in global project teams and towards colleagues at the other research sites. You are flexible, open to new ideas, ambitious, innovative and result oriented. You have a lot of individual responsibility with a high degree of personal impact in the projects. You are able to meet deadlines and keep overview. Furthermore, you are fluent in English.
