Job purpose
Executes and implements strategy over a given country under the guidance of Local/Regional/Global Category manager.
Context of the job/major challenges
1.The Buyer for Marketing & Sales in China encompasses all spends related to the Pharmaceutical, Vaccine, OTC/ CHC and R&D businesses and related sub-categories: Communication Agency (Creative, Digital, PR, Production, Medical Education)

2.Coordinate a network of high professional buyers China for the various categories and sub categories pertaining to the domain of Marketing and Sales
3.Develops strong relationship with his/hers executive customers at country level, build a network of key specifiers to drive standardization plans in major repetitive categories of spends
4.Develop a deep culture of market intelligence in all sub-categories pertaining to the domain of marketing and sales
5.Set procurement strategies adapted to categories and sub categories and implement in country with its network of buyers
6.Implement, share best practices per categories and sub categories in China
Key accountabilities
1.Adapts, elaborates and implements Global/Regional sourcing strategies according to category management orientations (coming from both regional category managers and Global Category managers)
2.Analyses business needs at country level & work out local implementation plan.
3.Standardize business needs & develop appropriate rate card with his/her supply markets expertise.
4.Is accountable for achieving the objectives jointly defined by regional category managers and Global Category managers.
5.Ensures that all needs are identified and challenged to be reasonable.
6.Carries out sourcing process according to category management orientations (coming from both regional category leaders and category managers)
7.Coordinates SRM and sustainable development activities for key suppliers
8.Scope is Regional which can be defined as multi countries and/or multi BU/Sites in one country
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university is a must. Master Degree or overseas background is preferred. Area of specialization: Supply Chain & Purchasing (Sourcing and Procurement); Marketing Management.
2. 2-5 years’ experience in purchasing/marketing Dept. managing indirect categories experience; 3. The company reserves the right to consider candidates not possessing these minimum requirements but who possess an equivalent combination of comparable education and experience. Internal Career Development candidates are one example where minimum educational and job experience requirements may be not be applicable.
