Description:
To provide scientific expertise, build knowledge and activity based relationships with Regional Opinion Leaders to advance medical practice and research for the benefit of the society, focus on scientific communication per experts’ request, under central medical guidance, thus enhancing Boehringer-Ingelheim’s image in the scientific community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Strategic input:
1) Provide strategic inputs to develop scientific partnerships with regional KOLs and local scientific associations.
2) Support local medical initiatives under central medical scope; work with local business partner for assigned products.
2. Operational:
1) Regional Opinion Leader engagement: Identify OLs, establish and maintain OL database with commercial partner; Build relationships with OLs to support clinical and research activities; Effective and scientific communication with OLs to enhance scientific image at regional level.
2) Ensure compliance at regional level: follow company compliance during scientific communication, support product related events and activities within MSL’s scope approved by line-manager.
3) Clinical Research: facilitate and support the communication of studies include but not limited to Ph IV study/IIS/NIS/Observation studies/outcome research/Registry and EAP/NPU et al; support central publication plan.
4) Launch Readiness: support central launch readiness activities/events, such as AB meeting, KOLs engagement, scientific exchange, publication, internal awareness et al, under central medical guidance.
5) Post-launch Business Support: provide necessary medical support to OL meetings / advisory board meetings; Co-ordinate training/scientific programs under central medical guidance.
6) Sales training: Provide medical training to sales force per request, approved by central medical.
7) Medical Information: Provide useful, timely, accurate, and balanced medical information to internal (Marketing and sales staff) and external (HCPs) customers
3. People
？ Medical Science Liaison Management (If applicable): To recruit qualified MSL; Provide training and coaching; Supervise objectives setup, performance review and development plan

？ Learning and Development: Enhance self-development through on-the-job training; timely complete all staff trainings
4. Technology:
Familiar with the Business Technology function in areas such as databases, websites, interactive systems, product and health information, etc.; Identify technology solutions for enabling better information availability
Requirements:
？ Clinical Medicine background of Bachelor or above, Master and above preferred
？ Familiar with major disorders and its management of related therapeutic area
？ Working experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies preferred
？ Strategic thinking
？ Good team work spirit
？ Good communication and presentation skills
？ Good Microsoft office software skills
