About CNIBR
China Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (CNIBR) is part of the Novartis global drug discovery network and dedicated to discovering new therapies that address unmet medical needs in China and the world. Current research is focused on cancers prevalent in Asia (such as gastric and liver cancer) and liver diseases (hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis).
Opened in 2007 as the first fully integrated R&D center and the largest among multinational corporations in China, CNIBR has established a full set of capabilities from genomics research, disease biology, drug discovery and pharmacology to translational medicine with in-house expertise in both small molecule and biologics drug discovery. It is also known for its cutting-edge epigenetics research in cancer, aging and regenerative medicine.
CNIBR Research Fellow Program offers postdoctoral training for scientists interested in biomedical research in a cutting-edge drug research and development center. The program aims to explore innovative ideas, conduct exploratory discovery research, contribute to understanding disease mechanism or developing new technology, and publish in major scientific journals. The program will focus on research projects in epigenetics, metabolism, or aging using biochemical, structure biology, and chemical biology approaches, as well as various disease models. Our goal is to attract the brightest young talent and train the next generation scientists for pharmaceutical R&D. The research fellowship is for a 3-year term and we offer a very competitive compensation and benefit package.
The minimum requirement:
? Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry or related field within 1 year
? High passion in basic biomedical research
? Solid experimental skills
? Strong scientific record with at least one first author paper published or accepted in a top tier journal
? Experience in epigenetics, metabolism or aging research is preferred
? Good collaboration spirit
? Good communication skills in English
